I’ve Been Getting Beat Up for Years… So I Finally Fought Back! 🥊

After almost 40 years of trucking, I never thought starting a blog would be one of my biggest challenges.

Have you ever wanted to do something, but every time you looked into it, you thought…

What the hell did I just get myself into?

That’s pretty much how I felt about starting a blog.

I’ve spent almost 40 years driving trucks. I can turn a wrench, fix things when they break, and figure out my way around just about any mechanical problem.

But building a website?

Creating a blog?

Learning all that technical stuff?

Forget about it!

I’d rather crawl underneath a truck and change an oil pan. At least I know what I’m looking at down there.

And here’s the funny thing…

I actually wanted to start a blog for years.

Not because I wanted to become some famous writer.

I just wanted somewhere to share my experiences, things I’ve learned, mistakes I’ve made, and maybe help somebody else who’s trying to figure out their next chapter in life.

Especially people like me who have spent most of their lives working and are starting to wonder…

There’s gotta be more to life than working until you can’t work anymore, right?

But every time I thought about starting a blog, technology got in the way.

Or at least that’s what I believed.

Then There’s the Cost of Everything…

Have you ever started looking into something online, found a price that seemed reasonable, and then discovered you needed three other things just to make it work the way you wanted?

A website builder.

A funnel builder.

AI tools.

Marketing tools.

And before you know it, you’re wondering how something that was supposed to be simple became another monthly bill.

Now don’t get me wrong.

There are some great platforms out there, and plenty of people use them successfully.

But for somebody like me, who wants to keep things simple and affordable, I didn’t want to spend a fortune or spend six months learning technology.

I wanted to write.

I wanted to share value.

And I wanted to get on with my life.

Then Something Changed…

I recently got access to a blogging platform inside a system I’ve been using to build my online business.

And I’ll tell you what…

I wish I’d had something like this years ago.

For $25 a month, I have access to a blogging platform along with an AI powered website builder, a funnel builder, and other tools designed to make building online easier.

I can even connect my own AI to help me build.

And here’s the part that really surprised me…

I built a page in about 10 minutes.

TEN MINUTES!

Now, I’m not saying I’m suddenly some kind of technology genius.

Hell, I still have days when my keyboard acts like it’s possessed.

But that’s the whole point.

I didn’t have to become a programmer.

I didn’t have to learn how to write code.

And I didn’t have to spend weeks watching tutorials just to get started.

Here’s What I Learned…

Sometimes the biggest thing holding us back isn’t our age.

It isn’t our lack of experience.

And it isn’t even the money.

It’s the belief that something is going to be harder than it really is.

How many things have you put off because you thought you weren’t smart enough, young enough, or technical enough?

I know I’ve done it.

And after almost 40 years behind the wheel, I’ve learned something else.

Time doesn’t stop while we’re trying to figure everything out.

Those years keep rolling by whether we do something with them or not.

That’s why I’m building something for my next chapter now, instead of waiting until retirement to figure out what the hell I’m going to do.

So What’s the Point of All This?

I’m not telling everybody they need to start a blog.

And I’m certainly not telling anybody to go spend money on something they don’t need.

What I am saying is this…

If there’s something you’ve been wanting to do, but technology or the fear of getting started has been holding you back, maybe it’s time to take another look.

Things have changed.

Tools have changed.

And what seemed impossible a few years ago might be a whole lot easier today.

I’m 60 years old, and I’m still learning.

Still building.

Still making mistakes.

And still figuring things out.

But I’m not sitting around waiting for somebody to hand me my next chapter.

I’m going to make it happen.

And maybe that’s something worth thinking about for your own life.

Because you don’t have to know everything to get started.

Sometimes you just need to find a better way.

Wishing you nothing but success in whatever you’re working toward.

It was with myself.
