My PC is haunted

When Things Go Wrong, They Go Wrong All At Once.

Here’s the thing... when stuff breaks, it never breaks one at a time.

First, my truck had an oil leak. I fixed it myself because I know how. A mechanic would have run me hundreds of dollars. I got it done for a couple hundred.

Feeling pretty good about myself.

Then I’m sitting on the toilet and the seat snaps in half. What the heck?

Then my PC keyboard starts acting up. Only the two shift keys quit working. Nothing else. I changed the batteries. I shut it down. I unplugged the whole computer and rebooted everything. Still nothing.

I even called a friend in my home business community to see if she had any ideas.

Then out of nowhere, the keys started working again. No clue why.

This PC is a good one, but it’s not the first time it’s done weird stuff. Sometimes it won’t let me save a download into the folder I need. It’s almost like it has two different filing systems going on. I’m no tech genius, but that’s how it feels.

I’ll be getting a Mac sooner or later. For what I do in my home business, I think it’ll fit better.

But here’s what struck me after all this.

Every one of those problems turned into a goal I had no choice but to finish. I needed the truck running. I needed a seat I could sit on. I needed my keyboard working. I didn’t wait for the “right time” or the “right mood.”

I just did it, because I had to.

So think about that for a minute.

You started your home business for a real reason. Why not treat it like the truck? If your truck dies, you don’t get to work. You find a way to fix it.

Make your goals like a vehicle you desperately need.

When your purpose is clear, discipline feels a lot more natural.

I’m not getting any younger, and neither are you... so make it happen.
